Die Synkopen und Tremoloeffekte im Kopfssatz erzeugen den neuartigen, vorwärtsdrängenden Charakter; das Menuett ist -  fernab höfischer Tanzstilisierung - dramatisiert, die Ecksätze sind durch rhythmische und motivische Verwandtschaft verknüpft.
