Ein Immersion-Workshop mit Ingrid Zeller Hosted by McDaniel College

The AATG, Maryland / DC Metro Chapter and the Goethe-Institut Washington cordially invite you to Herb Conference 2009 the German teacher for 12th to 13 September at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland, a.
The workshop is especially for teachers of German in high schools and colleges / universities appropriate and includes:

• an overview of new trends in German film
• discussions on innovative approaches in the classroom
• Practical advice on the use of technology
• materials and suggestions for immediate implementation in the classroom

The films are from the following Themenbereichen gewählt: Film und Geschichte, Musik und Film, Film und die Wende, und Abenteuer Liebe und Leben. Bei pädagogischen Ansätzen und Strategien liegt die Betonung auf Technologie, Spielen und das Curriculum, Stationenlernen, und Kommunikationsformen und Interpretation. Alle TeilnehmerInnen werden selbst die Chance haben, in Gruppen Filme oder Teile von Filmen zu didaktisieren und ihre Projekte vorzustellen. Auch erhalten alle TeilnehmerInnen Handouts mit Materialien für den Unterricht und eine DVD mit relevanten Filmclips.

Ingrid Zeller ist Senior Lecturer an der Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, aktives Mitglied von AATG, und Trainerin for the Goethe-Institut Chicago. After music at the Manhattan School of Music and Germanic studies at Columbia University in New York City had studied, she turned in the context of language teaching, particularly their areas of interest film, architecture, and music.
