Directions and parking:

Since the seminar takes place on a weekend, can you park anywhere on campus, except for the reserved parking spaces for the disabled. You can also park there, where it says "For Faculty and Staff. However, there is ample parking for guests (Visitor Parking Lot). There is also a detailed description of a good map at the following URL: http://www2.mcdaniel.edu/german/gad/directions.html

From Baltimore, MD: Take I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) to Exit 19 onto I-795 North (Northwest Expressway), continue to its completion. Follow signs to Westminster via Route 140 West around Westminster, and turn left exiting onto Route 31. Drive 1/4 mile (McDaniel College golf course is on your left) and turn left at the first light—onto Main St. Drive 4/10 of a mile and turn right into the Visitor Parking Lot (between building # 21 and 25 on map). Cross over Main St. and come to McDaniel Lounge (#34 on map) where the first part of the seminar will take place.

From Washington D.C.: From the Washington Beltway (I-495), exit onto I-270 North toward Frederick, then onto Route 27 East/Damascus (Exit 16, Father Hurley Blvd). Take Route 27 North to Westminster. Turn left at the intersection of Routes 27 and Main St. (Rt. 32), and drive 1/2 mile. Bear right at the forked roadway on top of he hill (you’ll see the main entrance with name of McDaniel on your right.). Follow Main St. up and then down the hill. Turn left into the second entrance to the college into the Visitor Parking Lot (between building # 21 and 25 on map). Cross over Main St. and come to McDaniel Lounge (#34 on map) where the first part of the seminar will take place.

From the North: From U.S. 15 at Gettysburg, exit onto Route 97 South. Follow 97 to Route 140 West, and follow it around Westminster. Exit left onto Route 31 and go 1/4 mile (McDaniel College golf course is on your left) and turn left at the first light—onto Main St. Drive 4/10 of a mile and turn into the Visitor Parking Lot (between building # 21 and 25 on map).
